This image represents a lesser known part of Peter's archive. While famous for his images of Leeds, Peter travelled around the UK often, turning his camera on the people and places he visited. Interesting also is the foregrounding of people as his subject, Mitchell's figures are typically still and set back into their surroundings, but on this rainy day in 1979 perhaps there wasn't time to stop.
